I have been going to Block Island for over 25 years now,time sure flies,it has always been one of my favorite destinations in the country, so anyone with a Block Island wedding please consider I have years of knowledge concerning locations,venues,and travel. This past Sunday my good friend Billy’s son asked me do to some senior portraits with his girlfriend Kaylee and I was more than happy to shoot for Bill he has helped me on many occasions doing electrical work pro bono,and he has been a friend for 23 years. Here is some of the work that resulted from the backyard shoot here at the studio. I also use this location to do engagement photos for all of you brides getting married, it allows the lighting to be more refined because I have a chance to spend more time in preparation.

Wedding / New Haven: Yale Campus

After scouting the location for the wedding on Saturday here are some of the final shots from the day. It sure helped to know exactly where we we’re going to shoot. The ceremony ran late and as usual there was limited time before the light disappeared, this will give you a good idea how important it is to have a vision so that no time is wasted to get the best shots you can. The bride and groom we’re great to work with and they we’re willing to try different poses and ideas to get the shots we needed,that helps a great deal,not to mention it was about 48 degrees outside during the shoot.

I have a wedding coming up on Saturday and wanted to shoot some photos for the bride and groom who are flying in to get married at The Center Church on the Green in New Haven. They are Yale Alumni and want to do the formals literally a block away on the Yale Campus. They had mentioned Doors, Gates, Buildings and arches for potential locations and here is a sample of several options for the shoot on Saturday.

Below you will find some recent images from a recent trip to Las Vegas and Death Valley. I learned a great deal from the WPPI Trade Show, which I will apply to all my Weddings in 2012 and the future. There is a great deal of new equipment that I have purchased which will make my photography that much better for 2012. I will be shooting at Yale this Saturday and will be posting those images next week. There is one product that I must mention which really impressed me at the show and that is the Lowel GL-1 Power LED light, I had a chance to meet the co creators of this light and witness a demonstration, and I am excited to add this to the arsenal of equipment to capture your weddings, it will be introduced in the Summer of 2012.
